2025 Pricing Update

This year, we are making several changes to our pricing to better align methodologies and tariff structures with the local network to which the Embedded Networks are connected, simplify our pricing framework, and rationalise the number of pricing categories. These changes have been designed to allow optional adoption throughout the coming year as retailers have the capacity and system capability to implement them. However, they will become mandatory with the 1 May 2026 price update.

Our methodologies and time periods align with those of the local networks we operate within. This approach supports the networks' objectives, including managing constraints and directing investment through their pricing signals.

Time-of-Use (TOU) pricing categories are now available across most regions where our embedded networks operate, provided the local network offers a TOU option. These plans will be optional for retailers to adopt from 1 May 2025 and will become mandatory from 1 May 2026, at which point all legacy Non-Half-Hourly (NHH) plans will be closed. Retailers can notify Tenco via EIEP8 if they wish to adopt the new pricing options.

As part of this transition, the NHH uncontrolled, controlled, and all-inclusive tariffs will be consolidated into the single TOU plan, provided the appropriate meter channels are in place. This allows retailers to submit data where meters are not communicating, or where they do not yet have the capability to report TOU tariffs within EIEP1 submissions.

Pricing schedules will be periodically updated throughout the pricing year, to accommodate the expansion of embedded networks into regions where pricing and loss factors were not previously configured. To enhance transparency and support change tracking, version control will be implemented within the documents starting 1 May 2025.

If a pricing schedule for a specific participant code is no longer available in the current pricing year, it means the embedded network participant code has been closed, and the embedded networks under that code have been transferred or disbanded.
